We as a species have been torn out of a primal connection-our bond with Gaia, the living planet. – John Lash Lamb, Not In His Image
Gaia and humanity may be jointly awakening into a shared lucid dream.
A lucid dream is a dream during which the dreamer is aware of dreaming and is able to control (somewhat) the dream characters, narrative, and environment.
Peer-reviewed papers about lucid dreaming have been published by Stephen LaBerge at Stanford University, and LaBerge’s results were confirmed by German researchers D. Erlacher and M. Schredl, in 2004. (Source)
Normal human brainwaves can range from 1 to 60 Hz, but tend to average about 8 Hz, about the same as the earth’s normal 8 Hz Schumann Resonance.
Oddly, this higher frequency range is the same as has been found in recent measurements of Schumann Resonance frequencies spiking up to 30-50 Hz.
WHY would the “heartbeat of the Earth” (i.e., the Schumann Resonance) be speeding up just as humanity seems to be beginning a mass awakening?
Does the Schumann Resonance raise human brainwaves to a higher frequency? Or does a critical mass of awakening human brains raise the Schumann Resonance to a higher frequency? Maybe it’s a mutually reinforcing process? . . . or all just a coincidence?
There is a “Gaia hypothesis” where the earth is likened to a vast self-regulating organism, perhaps even a living being with some form of consciousness.
Suppose Gaia is such a living being, capable of being asleep and having lucid dreams. (It’s a wild and crazy speculation, but suppose it might be possible.)
As the Schumann Resonance spikes to higher frequencies:
- Due to entrainment are Gaia and humanity jointly ascending together, to some sort of higher vibration rate, or higher dimension?
- Could the Schumann Resonance frequency spikes to 30-40Hz indicate that Gaia may be awakening inside lucid dreams?
- As human brainwaves and Gaia’s “heartbeat” synchronize, are Gaia and humanity starting to share simultaneous lucid dreams?
- Is our supposed “ascension” to a higher dimension nothing more than a joint awakening of man and Gaia inside of a shared lucid dream?
Is Gaia Awakening Inside a Lucid Dream?
When two people dream the same dream, it ceases to be an illusion. – Philip K. Dick
According to John Lamb Lash: Cosmic dreaming, when it turns lucid, produces a sudden and spectacular eruption of mythical events into phenomena, including the phenomena of human thought, feeling, and perception. The Gaian lucid dream is an eruption of the highest rapturous magic of the Divine Feminine into the human psyche, pouring through mind and body, all at once. (Source)
Gaia, the living earth, is having a conscious dream. She is not awakening from sleep, she is waking in her sleep.
We have reached the moment when the Goddess who dreamed humanity and the earth itself into existence is starting to interact directly with the human actors in her dream. . . . Gaia Awakening is a singularity in the cosmic order and the opportunity for a spectacular breakthrough . . . a planet-wide selective process. (Source)
Gaia awakening . . . Turn away from it and you may find yourself stranded in the collective dream of a doomed species with no direction, no purpose, no unitive identity, and no sense of its true desire, disconnected from the planetary body of desire and the all-sustaining life-force of the earth.
Turn toward it and you might find that you feel like you have fallen in love with someone who has your complete and total dedication, love surpassing anything you can hold for parents or children, equivalent only to the love you can feel for your own body. (Source)

Schumann Resonance is a fairly stable spectrum of electromagnetic standing waves in the cavity between Earth’s surface and it’s ionosphere about 60 miles up.
The Earth’s primary resonant frequency, its Schumann Resonance, has been hovering around 7.8 Hz (i.e., cycles per second) for centuries. This resonance is sometimes called the ‘heartbeat of the earth.’
Although human brainwaves may range from 0.1 Hz to 60 Hz (cycles per second), their typical frequency is about 8 Hz–which just happens to be about the same frequency as the Earth’s historically “normal” Schumann Resonance. Our brain and our nervous system are both electrical networks which respond to all electromagnetic fields–including the steady 8 cycles per second “standing wave” heartbeat of earth’s Schumann Resonance.
Our Brainwaves Are Affected By the Earth’s Schumann Resonance
- In early 2017, for the first time ever, there have been measurements of Schumann Resonance peaks to up to 36 Hz–about four times higher than the “normal” Schumann Resonance.
- There are documented correlations between the frequency of the Schumann Resonance and our brainwaves, due to brainwave entrainment (i.e, synchronization) between the frequency of our brainwaves and the frequency of the earth’s Schumann Resonance.
Entrainment is a concept first identified by the Dutch physicist Christiaan Huygens in 1665 who discovered the phenomenon during an experiment with pendulum clocks: He set them each in motion and found that when he returned the next day, the sway of their pendulums had all synchronized.
Such entrainment occurs because small amounts of energy are transferred between the two systems when they are out of phase in such a way as to produce negative feedback. As they assume a more stable phase relationship. The system of greater frequency slows down, and the other speeds up.
The term ‘entrainment’ has been used to describe a shared tendency of many physical and biological systems to synchronize their periodicity and rhythm through interaction. Examples include the cyclic synchronization of two electric clothes dryers placed in close proximity, and the biological entrainment evident in the synchronized illumination of fireflies.
Brainwave entrainment, or ‘neural entrainment,’ denotes the way in which the electrical activity in cortical neurons can adjust to synchronize with the periodic vibration of an external stimuli.
There are documented correlations between the frequency of the Schumann Resonance and our brainwaves, suggesting the possibility of an entrainment linkage between the frequency of our brainwaves and the frequency of the earth’s Schumann Resonance.
Faster brain waves may distort our “normal” perceptions, for example possibly leading us to perceive time itself as speeding up–as discussed here.
