Today is the day we find out how many people choose the blue pill.
In the movie “The Matrix“, the lead character is offered a choice. Swallowing a red pill would allow him to “wake up” and see the world as it truly is, no matter how appalling or hostile. Swallowing a blue pill would keep him in a perpetual dream-like state, pleasantly protected from all externalities.
That wonderful dream-like state is a world constructed by exceptionally well-resourced entities who have nothing less than their own best interests at heart. Every person who votes today will be sending a resounding signal to those entities “More blue pills, please!”.
I assert that the very act of taking part in the voting process is the easiest way for those who run this farce to track how well-drugged we are.
It does not matter if you choose Left or Right, Blue or Red. It’s simply that you participate in the game.
Do you really need to elect someone to represent you? Someone to not cast the vote that represents your best interests? Someone to not read the bills they pass into law? If only someone could invent a system where everyone could come together and vote for/against new laws. If only there was a way to allow everyone to educate themselves as throughly as they wished. If only we could communicate in some sort of rapid fashion. If only…
I can think of no better way to control a massive amount of people than with a well-crafted false dichotomy. Although the media will feast like vultures on the few victorious individuals who win by double-digit figures, most new representatives will have been elected with only slight majorities. This system is so exceptionally crafted that it splits the country roughly in half. Does divide and conquer ring a bell? When the new representative fails to deliver the promised salvation to their constituents, those constituents will have nobody to blame but themselves, so they’ll defend their decision for a fair amount of time (about 2 years…) They’ll make excuses for their elected official much as a battered spouse does for their ‘elected’ perpetrator. The other half gets a wonderful scapegoat. “It’s all their fault. I didn’t vote for them, and they cause all of this pain. Luckily it’s less than 2 years until we get some real leadership. I won’t rise against the machine because I get my say next time around.”
Only when we decide to make decisions for ourselves will we finally see the world for what it really is. Some of us, including you dear reader, who investigate and read about ‘fringe’ elements may be closer to these truths than others. Until we have broad cultural support for making our own well informed decisions, we are individually stuck in the same grim reality. Both pills are filled with the same poison.
The red pill should represent truth, but the powers that be have ensured the national supply has been contaminated with the blue pill’s poison.
Finally, a note from someone who knew.
