Police crack down on Occupy Wall Street protests.

According to a recent CBS News/New York Times poll, Congress has a disapproval rating of 82%.

A recent Washington Post poll found that 78 percent of Americans are dissatisfied “with the way this country’s political system is working.”

Winston Churchill once famously remarked that Americans could be counted on to do the right thing, once they had tried everything else. That’s the situation we’re in now.

We call it “human rights violations” when police in other countries intimidate their people by executing citizens on the street for petty infractions–but, when we do it it’s different.

London’s Daily Mail is reporting today that US police forces are now performing public executions like their German Nazi counterparts once did in a further bid to further terrorize their citizens, and as we can, in part, read:

Kelly Thomas

“A shocking video has been released allegedly showing police officers tasering and beating a homeless man to death who they claim was resisting arrest. Though the video is not clear, eye witnesses say the homeless man – Kelly Thomas, 37 – was unable to put up any resistance and was lying on the ground on his front when the attack took place on July 5. His screams and cries for his father can be heard amid the tasering noises.” [See shocking video by clicking here.]

Most interesting to note about the public execution by US police forces of this homeless man was the large crowd of Americans who stood idly by without coming to his aide, and which stands in sharp contrast with Chinese citizens who after their police forces beat a street vendor to death yesterday rioted against this shocking abuse of human rights in their knowing that if injustice isn’t stopped it only grows stronger. John Harmon, suing the Hamilton Sheriff’s Office for excessive use of force.

Yet another man suffering from a diabetic medical emergency is attacked by police deputies. Apparently the man was unable to respond to their commands–greatly offending the deputies. The four Hamilton Ohio deputies taze him multiple times and brutally beat the man before a state trooper saves him and pulls them off. Steroid Rage

According to a recent report by AOL News, as many as 25 percent or more of police officers are regularly take steroid drugs, which has led to a rise in the number of assaults and other cases of “roid rage” occurring against citizens by those in law enforcement. (Source)

Lawrence Payne, a spokesman for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) recently told AOL News that steroid use among cops is a “big problem” and that “it’s something we shouldn’t ignore.” After all, numerous investigations have revealed an alarmingly high rate of use, including an investigation in New Jersey that pinned 248 cops and 53 firefighters with steroid use. New Jersey to randomly test police for steroids  New Jersey plans to test its law enforcement officers for illegal steroid use under reforms announced by state Attorney General Paula Dow in response to a report that police officers routinely used their state health benefits to acquire the drug. Update 5/7/2011: UCSF Cardiologists Find Taser Studies Tainted A new study by two UCSF cardiologists suggests that many of the studies attesting to the safety of Tasers are funded by the stun gun’s manufacturer or authored by researchers affiliated with it. Dr. Peyman N. Azadani and Dr. Byron K. Lee looked at every study of Taser safety that they could find — some 50 of them — and found that 23 of the studies were funded by Taser International or written by an author affiliated with the company. . 96 taser-related deaths in the United States in 2009-2010: (Source)

Taser Death Lawsuit Results in $10M Award

Published: July 25th, 2011

feature photoA North Carolina jury has awarded $10 million in a wrongful death lawsuit against Taser International, Inc., which was filed by the family of a teen who died after being shocked with a Taser stun gun. The complaint was brought by Devoid Turner and Tammy Lou Fontenot, the parents of Darryl Turner, who was 17 when he died in a supermarket in Charlotte after being shot in the chest by a Taser Model X26 electronic control device on March 20, 2008. According to the Taser death lawsuit, the manufacturer was negligent in failing to warn law enforcement that shooting their stun gun weapons into the chest of a subject could cause cardiac arrest. Following trial in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, a federal jury awarded $10 million in damages. (Source)
