- According to one survey, approximately 1 out of every 4 Californians under the age of 65 has absolutely no health insurance.
- In the late 70s, California was number one in per-pupil spending on education, but now the state has fallen to 48th place.
- According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, California’s unfunded pension liability is estimated to be somewhere between $120 billion and $500 billion at this point.

- There are over $1000 Billion in Alt-A and option ARM (“Adjustable Rate Mortgages”) loans which are now resetting to higher monthly payments and, as a result, are now starting to default at at almost the same rate as toxic “sub-prime” mortgages.
